Mail Server Setup
How to setup mail clients to use the Six2 mail server.
IMAP Server
The Six2 mail server allows centralized management of your emails and permits synchronization between multiple mail clients. To access the IMAP server, use the following parameters. Only secured access is permitted to the IMAP server: you must use SSL and your sixsq.com account's username and password. The server uses a self-signed certificate that will likely produce a warning in your client. Accept this certificate to avoid future warnings. (The MD5 fingerprint is F5 26 0F EB 30 F7 F6 E2 42 D7 55 B0 1F 9E 6F 8B.)
- mail server = mail.sixsq.com
- port = 993
- authentication method = password
- use SSL = yes
SMTP Server
To use the SIx2 SMTP server to send mail, configure your mail client with the parameters in the following table. Access to the SMTP is available only to authenticated clients; it is available from anywhere so long as you're not behind a firewall blocking port 25.
- SMTP server = mail.sixsq.com
- port = 2525
- authentication method = password
- use SSL = yes (or 'TLS (if available)')
