Server Access
Information about how to access the SixSq server interactively.
The same machine that runs the web and mail servers is available for interactive logins as well. Simply use your favorite ssh client to attach to "username@sixsq.com". You can change your password via the "passwd" command. The username and password are used for both interactive access and access to the IMAP and SMTP servers.
The server is running Mac OS X (Tiger) that does a reasonable job for a standard unix environment. One note in particular: the file system is case-preserving but not case-sensitive. Two file names that differ only in capitalization are the same for Mac OS X.
The server is a PowerPC G5 running at 2 GHz with 2 GB of RAM. However, please keep in mind that this server is also running the web and mail servers for Six2, so don't slam the server too badly.
