SixSq presents at the Google Test Automation Conference (GTAC) 2008
Two partners of SixSq, Marc-Elian Bégin and Charles Loomis, will present a talk entitled "Using Cloud Computing to Automate Full-scale System Tests" at the 2008 edition of the Google Test Automation Conference (GTAC). Presenters and participants alike must pass through the rigorous selection process, which ensure the event is focused and of high-quality.
This presentation briefly describes the need for automated full-scale system tests, continues with an explanation of the technical aspects of using cloud computing to provide a framework for these types of tests, and concludes with a summary of early results. The presentation will also discuss sociological issues, exposed by other complementary work, that impact upon the implementation of an effective testing regime.
SixSq provides a framework, using cloud computing, to automate the deployment of a complete set of services for tests, running those tests, collecting results, and tearing down the test deployment. Using the dynamic pool of resources that cloud computing provides allows the automatic, low-cost deployment of test configurations.
