GTAC 2008: Using Cloud Computing to Automate Full-Scale System Tests
SixSq had the privilege of presenting at the Google Test Automation Conference (GTAC) 2008 in Seattle. Marc-Elian Bégin presented "Using Cloud Computing to Automate Full-Scale System Tests" that described SixSq's experience in using cloud technologies to facilitate full scale system tests. SixSq will soon release an alpha version of it's test automation framework as a SaaS application, that uses Amazon Web Services for dynamic allocation of testing resources.
GTAC is a conference focused on test automation organised by Google. Lydia Ash, GTAC's chief organiser, told the audience that over a thousand people applied to participate and 250 were accepted, while 150 presentation proposals were received and only 11 were selected. SixSq is pleased to have had the opportunity to present it's experience at GTAC.
A video of Marc-Elian Bégin's presentation can be found on YouTube along with others from the conference. Feedback on our presentation is always welcome. Stay tuned for the alpha release of our Full-System Test Automation Application expected before the end of 2008.
