GTAC 2008: Using Cloud Computing to Automate Full-Scale System Tests
Six² had the privilege of presenting at the Google Test Automation Conference (GTAC) 2008 in Seattle. Marc-Elian Bégin presented "Using Cloud Computing to Automate Full-Scale System Tests" that described Six²'s experience in using cloud technologies to facilitate full scale system tests. Six² will soon release an alpha version of it's test automation framework as a SaaS application, that uses Amazon Web Services for dynamic allocation of testing resources.
GTAC is a conference focused on test automation organised by Google. Lydia Ash, GTAC's chief organiser, told the audience that over a thousand people applied to participate and 250 were accepted, while 150 presentation proposals were received and only 11 were selected. Six² is pleased to have had the opportunity to present it's experience at GTAC.
A video of Marc-Elian Bégin's presentation can be found on YouTube along with others from the conference. Feedback on our presentation is always welcome. Stay tuned for the alpha release of our Full-System Test Automation Application expected before the end of 2008.
