In his latest editorial, Derrick Harris (editor of the GRIDToday - the online news site specialised in grid computing) mentions the 'EGEE Comparative Study: Grids and Clouds - evolution or revolution?' report authored by Marc-Elian Bégin. This report was written while at CERN, for Bob Jones (CERN), EGEE Project Director. In his article, Harris agrees with the report's conclusion. This is interesting since several of the recommendations proposed in the report, and re-printed in Harris's editorial, would benefit small and medium enterprise, such as SixSq, which require cloud computing middleware to deploy inner-clouds to better serve its customers.
